In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK to deliver a speech at the Oxford Union.

The speech was interrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed my talk don't think I can catch the plane we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing helper".

These messages were published on Wednesday alongside more than 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. The BBC has been able to confirm his identity by cross-referencing the dates, events, and locations mentioned.

For instance, Epstein discusses arranging a plane from the UK for the redacted user in the messages, and commends their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and gave the talk at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, declined to comment on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as the president's key advisers in the lead-up to the presidential election and in the early days of his presidency, but resigned from the White House in 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a film about Epstein before his death and allegedly has around 15 hours of footage. In a recording of his show recently, he stated: "We're going to publish the film, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - at the start of next year."

But the newly released documents suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile at times seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A short time prior to the conversation in which Epstein seemed to arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r quite capable asst", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you are taken care of."

British Affairs Discussed in Messages

The published messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in 2018.

Earlier on the same day his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit thing this day with Nigel, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he added: "The guys are trying to move on. may soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view remaining as long as you can in the UK. Best-- so others get the dedication of your follow through."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa may remain in power". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely however the people here have no balls" and added "Boris ; Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to step up".

May was finally removed in 2019 after surviving two votes of lack of support in late 2018.

A spokesman for the political party told media: "Farage has never been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting took place.

The Congress will vote soon on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its records concerning its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in prison in that year.

Attention in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was renewed recently after the release of more than 20,000 pages from his estate.

Some of those referenced the former president, who has consistently rejected any wrongdoing. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but says they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
